If you have ordered a new web site package with a free domain name it will take between 24 and 72 hours for your domain name to go live, please be patient whilst your domain is being registered as several of the features in your control panel are unavailable until then Transferring an existing website order:
If you ordered hosting only and have your own domain name please contact your domain name provider and ask them to change the name servers (DNS) to:
ns1.vmhosting.com
ns2.vmhosting.com
To check if the name server records on your domain have been successfully changed please use: https://vmh.nameservices.net
It is not possible for vmhosting to change the name servers for you; we have no delegated authority over domain names. Once the name servers have been successfully changed it could take up to 72hrs for the domain to successfully propagate. Please be patient whilst your domain is being transferred.

You will also need to enter your username and password as above to gain access to your control panel. Please note that everything you find in your control panel is free to use.
FTP access:
FTP address: ftp.your-domain.com
Username: user name
Password: admin
Login Type: Normal
Email settings:
To use an email client like Outlook Express or Eudora for your email retrieval (POP3) and sending (SMTP) use the following settings:
POP3 Server: mail.your-domain.com
SMTP Server: mail.your-domain.com or if not working use your current isp SMTP mail server
Login Name: user name@your-domain.com
Password: Password set by you for that email box
Web Mail: http://webmail.your-domain.com
If you wish to use our e-mail servers to send out-going mail you must authenticate with the SMTP server.
Please note, as stated in our acceptable usage policy, our mail servers can not be used for spam, false opt-in lists, or any unsolicited mailings.
Microsoft FrontPage:
If you wish to upload via Microsoft FrontPage you will need to install FrontPage extensions. This is done via your control panel by clicking on FrontPage extensions and install or reinstall. If you have ordered a new website package with a new domain name, you will not be able to upload or add front page extensions for up to 72 hours until your domain name goes live as FrontPage requires a live domain name to upload. If you wish to upload immediately, you will have to use an FTP client such as http://www.cuteftp.com
Sub domains:
Sub domains are created and administered via your control panel.
Upgrading / downgrading:
